imagesWhen you are trying so hard to reach your goals, whether it be weight loss or fat loss or whatever, it can become very frustrating when you don’t see the results you are looking fore.

But don’t give up!! If you know that what you’re doing is a 100% with your workouts, your stress levels, your sleep and your nutrition and there is nothing else you could do more, then you know that it’s time to look at something else.

I have been dealing with certain health issues (hormones, sleep issues, weight gain, lack of energy, food sensitivities, etc) for about 4 years right now. Each time I look a little deeper into what’s going on with my body and try to figure out how I can fix things, I stumble upon something else that might be the root cause. But one thing I won’t do, is give up. 😉

A few months back, someone commented to me that she thought maybe I was just too sensitive about things, which I took as I was reading too much into things. At first I was offended by that comment, but when I thought more about it, I like the fact that I’m very in tune with my body, so that I understand it and know when it’s not feeling right.

I have clients right now that work out as hard as they ever have, eat as clean as they ever have and still continue to have issues with their health, whether it be weight gain,  chronic fatigue, aches and pains or sleep issues. As I keep in touch with them, they are learning that these are things that they didn’t even know anything about such as mold issues, lyme disease,  thyroid problems from taking the wrong medications and even genetics! Yes, I am soon to be getting a genetic test done to determine if I have a MTHFR gene mutation.

The MTHFR gene instructs the body to make an enzyme necessary to convert vitamin B9 into a usable form. This enzyme is also important in the process of converting homocysteine into methionine — an amino acid the body needs for growth and metabolism. Proper methylation enables the body to detoxify toxic metals, toxins, and other wastes more efficiently. – See more at:

download (1)I plan to keep looking for the answers to what’s going on with my body. I’m not going to give up, I’m not going to stop looking, and I’m not just going to let myself fall apart. I care too much about my life, my health, and my family to let that happen.
So if you feel that you’re just not getting to where you should with your health and fitness goals maybe it’s time to look further. Or if you just are not feeling like you want to, maybe it’s time to do some testing such as hormone testing or genetic testing which is my next step. Talk to your doctor or naturopath, and don’t let them tell you that you are FINE, if you don’t feel FINE!
Keep in mind that if something has been going on in your body for a long period of time, it’s not going to be fixed overnight. It will take time and you will have to be patient. But if you track where you are at, what you are doing and how far you have come, you will start to see some changes and progress being made.
